BIOGRAPHY
I am an enthusiastic and friendly tutor with a passion for learning. I studied Politics, Philosophy and Economics at Oxford University and subsequently completed an MSc in the History and Philosophy of Science at the London School of Economics. I am fascinated by the natural world and by scientific enquiry. When I'm not teaching or learning I enjoy foreign cinema, playing tennis, and strumming the guitar.
APPROACH TO TUITION
Once I understand exactly what a tutee hopes to achieve, (e.g. A* Maths GCSE, or simply understanding algebra) I have three main priorities as a tutor:
i) to identify a student's strengths and weaknesses through short tests
ii) to provide a course of study and assessment that will focus on the weaknesses and monitor progress
iii) to give the student belief in themselves and their abilities and to instil a love of learning
